If you're like me, you've probably spent a good chunk of your life wondering if lucid dreaming is actually possible. I'm here to tell you that it is, and it's actually quite easy to do once you know how. Here are three of the best ways to have a lucid dream:
One of the best things you can do to increase your chances of having a lucid dream is to keep track of your dreams. Every morning when you wake up, write down everything you can remember about your dreams from the night before. Over time, you'll start to see patterns emerge, which will be helpful in triggering a Lucid Dream.
Throughout the day, it's important to do regular reality checks to see if you're actually dreaming. A simple way to do this is to look at your watch or clock and then look away and back again. In a dream, the time will often change or be illegible. Another good reality check is to try and push your finger through your palm – in a dream, your hand will go right through.
If you wake up after a few hours of sleep and then go back to sleep, you're more likely to have a Lucid Dream. This is because during the early hours of the morning, we tend to have longer periods of REM sleep, which is when dreams occur. So set your alarm for a few hours earlier than usual and see if you can catch a Lucid Dream.
With these three tips, you should be well on your way to having a Lucid Dream tonight! Just remember to keep a dream journal, do regular reality checks, and wake up early. Good luck!
