The Flying Train
I was riding the last train home when it peeled off its rails and floated out over the rooftops. The seats had turned to warm sand and a fox in a suit kept punching my ticket. I just watched the lit windows melt past below like slow candle wax…

Quick Analysis

Your dream seems to reflect feelings of fear, paranoia, and trust issues, particularly around friends and social situations. Running around the restaurant could symbolise an attempt to escape or avoid situations where you feel threatened or uncomfortable. The presence of your family and boyfriend may point to how much their support and protection matter to you.

The moment you confronted the girl who took your money and found common ground in the same bands suggests a desire for resolution, and a hope that conflict can give way to understanding.

Questions

In the dream you were constantly moving, running through the restaurant, never quite settling anywhere. When you woke up, did that restlessness feel familiar to anything happening in your life right now?

Yeah, I’ve been job-hunting for two months and it feels like I can never switch off or relax.
93/1000

You confronted the girl who took your money, and yet you discovered you liked the same bands. Is there someone you’re in conflict with who you also feel an unexpected closeness to?

My older sister. We argue about everything, but she’s also the only one who really gets me.
91/1000

Your family and your boyfriend appeared as protectors in the dream. Right now, do you feel able to lean on them, or is their support something you find yourself missing?

Mostly yes, though I haven’t actually told them how stressed I’ve been lately.

Your dream

Power was out everywhere and things were going wrong. Tyler and I grabbed food at a supply stand, he got bored waiting for me to pick and left. We found an empty house but the bathroom was built tiny, ceiling like four feet. Later a guy in a field gave me advice, then rode off on his dirt bike. I ran to catch up, he expected me to jump on while he was moving, and when I couldn't he crashed looking back at me. He yelled at me and it ended.

Are there any ongoing stressful situations in your life currently?

Yeah, I just started my first proper job and the team I got put on isn't the one I applied for, so I'm trying to get moved.

How do you usually feel about relying on others for advice or support?

I don't usually rely on other people.

Do you have concerns about not meeting others' or your own expectations?

Yeah, constantly. Mostly my own, honestly. I hate being the one holding everyone up.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Yes. Oniri is free to download on iOS and Android, and you can journal your dreams every night at no cost. An optional Premium plan adds deeper AI interpretation and advanced lucid-dreaming tools, but the core dream journal stays free.

Oniri runs on iPhone and iPad on iOS, and on Android phones and tablets. Your journal syncs securely across every device you sign in on, so you can capture a dream on your phone at night and revisit it on a tablet later.

Oniri's app is available in seven languages: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Czech and Russian. You can also write your dreams in whatever language feels most natural to you.

Your dreams are deeply personal, and we treat them that way. Your journal is private to you and encrypted. You can export or permanently delete your data at any time.

Yes. Capture was Oniri's original name, and the app was renamed Oniri in 2022. It's the same app from the same team, with the same App Store listing, and nothing was lost in the change: if you journaled with Capture, your dreams are still there. We picked a new name because Capture kept getting mistaken for a photo app.

Oniri is a dream journal and interpretation app built to help you understand what you dream. Once you log a dream it surfaces the key symbols, emotions and themes, then offers a thoughtful AI interpretation that ties that night to the patterns forming across your journal. Think of it as a mirror for self-reflection rather than a fixed dictionary of meanings.

AI can interpret dreams surprisingly well when it works from your own words and your own associations. Oniri reads the dream you record, highlights the recurring symbols and feelings, and suggests interpretations you can question or refine. It works best as a prompt for reflection, because the meaning that matters most is the one that resonates with your waking life.

The best dream journal app is the one you will actually open at 3am, which is exactly what Oniri is designed for. One tap from your lock screen starts recording before you even open your eyes, and Oniri transcribes, tags and files the dream for you. It also layers in lucid-dream training and AI interpretation, so your journal grows more useful the longer you keep it.

Start by capturing the dream while it is fresh, ideally the moment you wake, since the detail fades within minutes. From there Oniri breaks the dream into its symbols and emotions and offers an interpretation grounded in what those elements mean to you and how they recur over time. The clearest meaning usually comes from noticing patterns across many dreams, not from decoding a single night.

Yes, and the payoff arrives faster than most people expect. Keeping a dream journal sharply improves how much you remember, gives lucid dreaming a foundation to build on, and reveals the emotional threads running through your nights. With Oniri the habit takes seconds a day, which is what makes it stick.

Roughly, yes. Most dreams start slipping away within the first few minutes of waking, and a large share are gone before you are fully alert. That is why capturing something right away matters so much, even a single image or feeling. Oniri is built for those first seconds, and most people remember several times more dreams within a couple of weeks of journaling.
